Peter Apolakiatis appointed as General Manager
Austcover is pleased to announce the appointment of experienced insurance industry leader Peter Apolakiatis as General Manager, succeeding Alan Moran, who has been promoted to Chief Broking Officer at QIB Group Holdings.
The leadership transition marks an exciting new chapter for Austcover as the business continues to grow its presence and capabilities across Australia.
Peter joins Austcover with more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, having worked closely with privately owned and ASX-listed businesses to manage their insurance and risk requirements. He brings extensive expertise in business development, strategic partnerships, client management and organisational growth.
Most recently, Peter served as Chief Growth Officer at BMS and previously founded Bluebrook Insurance Brokers. He has also held senior leadership roles, including Managing Director of Bellrock Broking, building a reputation as a highly respected insurance executive with a strong focus on growth, innovation and customer outcomes.
QIB Group CEO Adrian Humphreys said Peter's appointment aligns with Austcover's ambition to continue delivering exceptional service while expanding its national footprint.

The appointment follows the promotion of Alan Moran to Chief Broking Officer at QIB Group Holdings.
Alan has been a defining part of the Austcover story for more than 20 years, progressing through a range of roles before becoming General Manager. During his tenure, he helped shape the business into a respected national brokerage known for its client-first approach, technical expertise and strong team culture.
His appointment to the QIB Group Executive Leadership Team recognises both his contribution to Austcover and his broader leadership capability across the insurance industry.
